MultiValue World 2026: The Future Unleashed

The inaugural MultiValue World: The Future Unleashed conference brought together developers, technology leaders, vendors, and innovators from across the MultiValue ecosystem for several days of collaboration, modernization discussions, and forward-looking strategy. Held in Tampa, Florida, the conference showcased not only the strength of the MultiValue community, but also its momentum toward the future.

Aptron was proud to play a major role in helping organize and support this event. As longtime advocates for the MultiValue community, we were excited to help bring together professionals from across platforms, industries, and generations to share ideas and explore what’s next for MultiValue technology.

From AI and modernization to APIs, cloud infrastructure, and user empowerment, one theme was clear throughout the conference:

MultiValue is evolving—and thriving.

AI Is Part of the Modernization Conversation

Artificial intelligence was a frequent topic throughout the conference, particularly in discussions around how organizations can enhance existing MultiValue applications with modern technologies.

Rather than focusing on replacing core systems, many sessions emphasized practical ways organizations can improve workflows, increase efficiency, and better leverage their existing data. Presenters highlighted the importance of strong data accessibility and operational foundations as organizations explore future analytics and automation initiatives.

For many attendees, the key takeaway was clear: organizations can continue modernizing while still leveraging the reliability and flexibility of their MultiValue environments.

Modern Integration Continues to Be a Priority

Another recurring topic was interoperability.

Sessions covering JSON, APIs, React architectures, and integration strategies reinforced the growing demand for MultiValue systems to connect seamlessly with modern applications and services. Presenters demonstrated how MultiValue databases can continue serving as stable systems-of-record while supporting modern user experiences and connected ecosystems.

The message throughout these discussions was clear:

Modernization does not mean abandoning MultiValue. It means extending its value.

This aligns closely with what Aptron sees every day with our customers. Institutions and organizations continue relying on MultiValue because of its flexibility, performance, and reliability—while also seeking tools that improve accessibility, reporting, and usability for modern users.

Empowering Users Remains Essential

At the Aptron booth and during our “Easy Reporting with mvQuery” presentation, we had many conversations around one of the biggest operational challenges organizations face today: enabling users to access data without overwhelming IT teams.

As staffing pressures continue and reporting demands increase, organizations are looking for ways to empower end-users while maintaining governance and data integrity. That’s exactly why we offer mvQuery—an easy-to-use query, report designer, and data export tool built specifically for MultiValue databases.

Throughout the conference, it became increasingly clear that tools which simplify reporting and improve access to information are becoming critical components of modernization strategies.

Organizations want:

  • Faster access to operational data
  • Easier report creation
  • Reduced dependence on programmers
  • Flexible exports and analytics
  • Better decision-making across departments

The interest and feedback we received around mvQuery reinforced how important these capabilities have become throughout the MultiValue community.

The MultiValue Community Is Stronger Together

Perhaps the biggest takeaway from the conference was the energy surrounding the MultiValue ecosystem itself.

From seasoned developers to newer professionals entering the space, the event highlighted a community that is actively investing in its future. Discussions around mentorship, succession planning, training, and modernization reflected a shared commitment to ensuring MultiValue technology continues evolving for years to come.

The conference also demonstrated something many of us have known for decades:

MultiValue remains uniquely capable of supporting complex, mission-critical applications with remarkable flexibility and longevity.

Looking Ahead

Aptron would like to thank the conference organizers, presenters, sponsors, and attendees who helped make MultiValue World: The Future Unleashed such a success. We were honored to be heavily involved in helping organize the event and proud to contribute to the conversations shaping the future of the MultiValue industry.

The future of MultiValue is not just about preserving legacy systems — it’s about innovation, integration, usability, and community.
